What is the difference between mild steel and hot rolled steel?
Mild Steel has a lower carbon content than hot-rolled Steel, which gives it better weldability. Hot-rolled Steel is typically used for structural applications, while mild Steel is typically used for sheet metal or other aesthetic applications.
What is mild steel hot rolled?
Hot rolled steel is steel that has undergone the rolling process at a temperature above its recrystallization temperature (usually 1700° F or greater). Compared to unprocessed steel, the processed material exhibits greater formability and workability, making it easier to work with in subsequent processing operations.
