Precautions for electric welding of 304 stainless steel coil
What are the issues that should be paid special attention to when welding 304 stainless steel coils?
(1) Product quality problems and conditions
The welding length is insufficient, the welding surface is not level, there are big dents, welding scars, welding has undercut conditions, the welding wire is not closed, the welding skin is not smashed, and the center lines of the two closely connected 304 stainless steel coils are inconsistent.
(2) Root cause
①The electric welder is not skilled and has not obtained the welder examination certificate.
②The length of welding is not accurately measured after the end of electric welding.
③The welding wire does not pass, or the welding rod specification is wrong.
④ After the electric welding is finished, the solder skin is not noticed.
⑤Two electric-welded 304 stainless steel coils, with no pre-bending at the top of the rebar lap.

(3) Preventive measures
①Before electric welding of 304 stainless steel coil, welding test must be carried out according to the construction conditions, and the welding can be announced after reaching the standard. The welder must have a certificate of passing the examination questions.
② When electric welding or bar arc welding is used for the 304 stainless steel coil connector, double-sided welds should be made as much as possible.
③When the 304 stainless steel coil connector is used for rebar lap arc welding, the lap top of the two 304 stainless steel coils should be folded to one side in advance, so that the center lines of the two closely connected 304 stainless steel coils are consistent.
④ The size of both sides of the connector should not be less than 5d, and the size of single-layer welding should not exceed 10d (d is the diameter of the 304 stainless steel coil).
⑤When the 304 stainless steel coil connector is used for arc welding of the 304 stainless steel coil, the 304 stainless steel coil should be used for the beam main reinforcement and other 304 stainless steel coils. The length of the strips should not be less than 5d if double-sided welding is used, and 10d if single-layer welding is used (d is the diameter of 304 stainless steel coil).
⑥The characteristics of the welding wire used should meet the relevant requirements of the specifications for high-carbon steel and high-alloy steel stainless steel electrodes.
⑦Electric welding of bearing 304 stainless steel coils should be installed in places with small internal power and separated layout.
⑧The distance between arc welding and 304 stainless steel coils should not exceed 10 times the diameter of 304 stainless steel coils, and it is not suitable for large bending distances of prefabricated components. Place.
⑨When welding by electric welding, the welding place should have appropriate sand, rain, snow, and cold protection equipment. When the working temperature is between 5°C and -20°C, technical measures should be adopted. When the temperature is less than -20°C, no desoldering is allowed.
⑩After the electric welding is finished, the solder skin should be smashed off immediately.
