Is S355JR carbon steel?
R VS S355JR, actually they are totally not same thing. S275JR is carbon steel, while S355JR is low alloy steel. Both carbon steel S275JR and S355JR low alloy steel are under EN10025-2 standard. The S355JR low alloy steel is higher steel grade than carbon steel S275JR.
What is grade S355JR steel?
S355JR steel grade is a European standard for hot rolled structural steel. Steel S355JR belongs to the table of non-alloy structural steels (EN10025-2: 2004). It is used for medium-high strength parts, good tenacity, easy forming and welding.
