Cold rolled steel coil

Cold rolled steel coil/plate is hot rolled steel that has undergone further processing. The steel is further processed in a cold rolling mill, the material is cooled at room temperature, and then annealed or tempered. As a result, steel plates with smaller dimensional tolerances and smoother surfaces are produced.

Characteristics
1.Thin thickness and high precision. Through cold rolling steel strip/plates with thinner thickness and higher precision can be obtained;

2.High surface finish: The surface of cold rolled plate is clean and bright, and it is easy to be coated and processed;

3.High stamping performance and low yield point.

Cold rolled Steel Coil Processing

1.Pickling
When the rolled steel coil is placed, if it is not processed, it is easy to form iron oxide with the air, because the air is humid and the steel will rust over time. Therefore, a continuous pickling unit must be used to remove the oxidized rust on the surface of the hot rolled steel coil.

2.Cold rolled
The pickled plates are rolled to the thickness of the finished product on a cold rolling mill, generally without annealing. The total compression ratio is generally 60 to 90%.

3.Lubricating
For rolling general materials, use emulsion with good cooling performance, and use pure oil lubricant with good lubrication performance when rolling thin or hard metals.

4.Annealing
The purpose of annealing is to eliminate the hardening caused by cold rolling and to soften the steel plate again, thereby having good plasticity.

5.Smooth
Its purpose is to avoid plastic instability of the annealed steel plate during stamping and to improve the quality of the steel plate (flatness and surface condition).
